Everything must go!! Burt is Selling it All!

First, let's get this out of the way.
It's not because he needs the money.
He doesn't need THINGS.
He's not materialistic and he probably just wants to donate.

"Julien’s Auctions invites you to The Palms in Las Vegas to celebrate the life and career of Burt Reynolds. A master of comedy and drama, Reynolds is also an art collector, business man, rancher and father. The auction includes Reynolds’ collection of Western themed decorative arts, screen-worn items, clothing from his personal wardrobe, signed items from co-stars and friends that were previously housed in Reynolds’ museum, and a selection of Reynolds trophies and awards.

The trophies earned by Reynolds date from his early football successes to his 1998 Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in Boogie Nights. These awards bookend countless People’s Choice Awards, an Emmy, another Golden Globe and other honors received over five decades.
The sale features wardrobe from Reynolds film career including a red “Bandit” jacket and an embroidered Western shirt from Smokey and the Bandit II, a sombrero worn in 100 Rifles, monogrammed boots worn in Striptease, a football helmet from the original Longest Yard, as well as personal clothing items and accessories.

Highlights of Reynolds' decorative art collection include paintings and sculptures from Western artists such as James Bama and Joe Beeler, and a monumental “Horse and Rider” sculpture by Manuel Carbonell, Frank McCarthy, and Olaf Wieghorst. Other pieces of art represented in the collection include a marine landscape from John Stobart and a landscape from the Chinese artist Chen Chi. Also featured are numerous handcrafted items from the celebrated Edward H. Bohlin Company, of which Burt Reynolds was a part owner in the early 1990’s. Included are two spectacular sterling mounted parade saddles and another custom saddle made for Reynolds with elaborate horse head conchas. There are other smaller Bohlin leather and sterling items such as a monogrammed and silver tipped leather script holder and a sterling diamond pattern belt with a “BR” monogrammed buckle along with a variety of holsters and gun belts, many of them monogrammed.

Reynolds’ own vehicles — big and small — are offered, including a 1997 Dodge Ram pickup truck customized with a portrait of Burt Reynolds as “The Bandit,” a “Bandit” go cart, a red and white “BR” Ranch monogrammed surrey carriage gifted to Reynolds by Dolly Parton, and the Burt Reynolds and Loni Anderson motorized Wedding Stagecoach built in 1979.

The items of greatest testament to Reynolds’ character are the personally inscribed and gifted mementos and signed photographs from Jimmy Stewart, Dom DeLuise, and Elizabeth Taylor and memorabilia from major sports figures: signed boxing gloves from Muhammad Ali, a signed and inscribed baseball from Mickey Mantle, and a Hall of Fame induction Football from Walter Payton.

Join us as we celebrate the life and legend of the multi-talented, multi-faceted, Burt Reynolds for the Property from the Life and Career of Burt Reynolds auction in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 11 and 12, 2014 at The Palms Casino Resort."
